Folliculitis.: This is an example of folliculitis. There are a couple of ways to treat this--topicals such as topical antibiotics or topical corticosteroids. However, a more definitive treatment for this pesky condition would be to have laser hair removal. Even a couple of treatments would reduce the hair diameter enough to likely prevent these large painful foci of inflammation at the site of the hair follicle.
