A member asked:

Is it likely if i take methadone that i'll also fell very nauseous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on dose: All opioids cause nausea and vomiting, and this is one of their most common side effects. However, if the dose is started low (recommended starting dose for pain treatment is 2.5 mg two to three times/day), nausea is uncommon. In people on Methadone for narcotic addiction, it is not more likely to cause nausea than the opioids they were using-oxycodone, heroin etc.If not prescribed don't take!
