Hi docs, would they do a laparotomy on a 17 year old?

To investigate : Today's use of ct scans has decreased the need for an exploratory laparotomy, but they are still done to find the source of bleeding after abdominal trauma or when signs and symptoms point to a problem that can only be fully assessed this way.
