Root canal: If your dentist thinks it can be saved and restored with a root canal then that is the best option in my opinion. I always recommend using your own natural tooth as the best restorative option.

First option- rc: If the tooth can be saved with a root canal, this is the first and best option. There are many considerations that you may have to think about- costs (including restoring the tooth permanently, prognosis, amount of tooth left, etc. Ask questions and possibly get a second opinion if in doubt.
