A member asked:

I have sjogren's syndrome and my c3 level is constantly low. all other blood test came back normal. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: A low complement by itself does not carry any significant implications. If you have protein or casts in your urine it may indicate kidney inflammation. However, that is uncommon in a pure sjogrens.
