What do you suggest if i'm put on testosterone patches but was not told how much because it was an experiment. is there a test i can do to find this out?

Follow protocol...: Since you signed on for testosterone patch investigation, you will be tested for testosterone before, during, and after its use. So, there is no practical need for testing yourself. If you do privately without professional order, i'm not sure if violating the contract or ethics. So, let the experiment run to the end as agreed upon, except you want to withdraw from the project and become private.
