High testosterone: Extra testosterone comes from over active ovaries. If it is very high, you need to be checked for a hormone-producing tumor. If you have unusual hair growth, acne or other masculine changes, then it should be treated.

How high: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped to have the actual results. Wish you good health!
