Lots of options: There are several treatment options depending on the cause of your bleeding. For example, polyps, fibroids, hormonal imbalances, anovulation, coagulation defects can all cause abnormal or heavy bleeding leading to anemia. Your treatment could include birth control pills, a Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, an endometrial ablation, or even hysterectomy depending on the cause. Discuss these options with your doctor.
