Heavy menses: ...can eventually lead to anemia due to the depletion of iron in your body. Anemia, on the other hand, does not effect menses; that is effected mostly by hormonal factors. Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) is not a common symptom from anemia. Anemia causes pale looking skin and shortness of breath with exertion.
