Anal swelling/bleedi: Most likely swelling of the external hemorrhoids and the bleeding is most likely hemorrhoidal in nature as well. At 47 years of age, you should be evaluated by a colon and rectal surgeon to check your hemorrhoids as well as to do any necessary workup to clear your colon (colonoscopy) of other pathology. They can make recommendations to help your constipation as well.
