See you doctor: For an evaluation of your mouth and throat. Some internists and family physicians are familiar with the techniques to look directly or indirectly into the larynx and visualize it and the vocal cords. However, most would probably refer you to an ENT specialist who has the training and equipment to do this. Are you a smoker? If so, stop. In either case, someone needs to take a look at the anatomy.
