A member asked:

I got shingles so should i get the vaccine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too late: The zoster vaccine is offered to boost immunity to prevent the shingles. An episode of shingles will boost your immunity for a few years by itself. Getting it after an outbreak would not provide much benefit. Doing so a few decades later may be helpful.
