Wound care: Stop bleeding by applying pressure. Rinse wound w clean water. Clean surrounding skin w soap & water on wash cloth. Apply antibiotic ointment. Initially cover w bandage until some healing has occurred. Change bandage when soiled/ wet or at least daily. Need tetanus shot if you haven't had one in last 10 years, don't know

Clean with: a mild soap and water, remove any non-viable tissue very gently keep it moist with antibiotic ointment but only a thin film, and cover with a sterile dressing. Do this daily and do not shave the area until the wound is completely healed.

If real bad: go to the emergency room to be evaluated. otherwise, apply pressure until the bleeding has stopped. then wash with soap and water. apply antibiotic ointment and cover with non-stick bandage. check your tetanus status.
