I don't think that's: Uncommon. In some cultures ; religions women are isolated from others when menstruating, can not have sexual activity and are told they are unclean. That type of message could really effect self esteem. The way i look at it - god designed our bodies. That is good enough for me. Menses is a natural function ; is nothing to be ashamed of. Take care.
