A member asked:

Can sleep deprivation cause a seizure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly,: If you already have epilepsy, it can be an adverse trigger, but other triggers could involve recreational drugs, hypoglycemia, stress, lack of eating, some medication reactions, infection etc. If you have experienced a seizure for the first time, this needs evaluation, and possible therapy.
