Very serious: Uterine ectopic pregnancies are very serious ; potentially dangerous. They can occur in the area where the fallopian tube originates and can rupture thru the uterus causing so much damage that a hysterectomy is necessary. Can try methotrexate. Be very careful.

Ectopic: I am not sure sure how an ectopic pregnancy can be in the uterus. That's why it's called ec-topic, out of place. Usually, it is referred to tubal pregnancy, rarely to other sites such as ovaries. If you have an ultrasound that determined you have ectopic pregnancy, it should say where it is. You can scan a copy of it and send for our review or talk to your doctor who should explain it.

Misinformed?: An ectopic pregnancy occurs outside of the uterine cavity in the fallopian tubes. The fallopian tubes are in no way equipped to grow a fetus. This is a potentially deadly condition.
