Yes, but rarely!: Implants rarely snap/break but with poor product design it can happen. Recently, one well known implant company had a significant number of implant fractures where the implant attaches to the crown or denture. It is this area that is the weakest part of the implant. I don't ever recall seeing or hearing about the body of an implant fracturing.

Rare: Rare for an implant to break. Do not expect it to "snap" all of a sudden. If poorly designed and restored, parts can fracture -- screw, or porcelain. Important to have correct occlusion - bite- for long lasting function and health. Good Luck.
