How can u tell if u have a goitre or fat neck ?

thyroid mass: Goiter is suspected when thyroid gland enlarged during physical exam. To really diagnose it is ultrasound. There are several causes of this problem ranging from autoimmune to inflammatory, cancer, infiltration such as sarcoid. Systematic work up is necessary including labs, imaging, biopsy if necessary.
