Get an exam: Part of getting a breast exam is getting educated by your health care practitioner as to what's normal breast tissue, how to perform self breast exams, what to look for, what your anatomy means and does. I think it's a great idea, in the setting where you trust the doctor or nurse performing the exam. Your mom is your mom and you should respect and listen to her, but i think there's no harm.
