A member asked:

I was born without 2nd and 3rd r anterior ribs. my r breast is smaller than the other one. will breast augmentation work?

Yes: Breast augmentation works very well in women that have congenital defects. Most women are asymmetric and it is not uncommon to use 2 different size implants when performing breast augmentation. The results are excellent with a very high patient satisfaction rate. Please see a plastic surgeon if you are interested.

Yes: Breast augmentation should work nicely. However you must have realistic expectations and goals. Although it is a subtle difference, you will always be uneven. I tell my patients that they should expect less unevenness as a reasonable goal rather than expecting perfect symmetry.
