Yes: Did your physician prescribe a medication for the yeast infection? If it works the infection should be cleared in a short period of time. If the discharge persists return to your gyn. Even without having a positive yeast infection it is possible to have another kind of infection or just excessive vaginal secretion after a period.

Possible: This is possible, although, your symptoms are not specific and based on the description it's hard to tell whether it is normal or not. Yeast discharge resembles cottage cheese and is usually plain white discharge.
