Screening test.: During the glucose challenge test, you will have to drink a sugary liquid (the glucose) and then they'll draw your blood one hour later. This tests to see how well you process sugar. If the test is too high, it means you can't process the sugar effectively, and you might be at risk for diabetes. It's often done in pregnant woman to test for gestational diabetes.
