Yes: But you might also have a problem with your teeth. At age 17 you might be starting to get wisdom teeth, and these can sometimes grow abnormally and impact other teeth. See your dentist and discuss this issue.

Yes: It sounds like you may have a poor relationship between your upper and lower jaws. This can cause grinding/clenching and tooth pain upon chewing. See your dentist for an evaluation and history.
