Total sleep time: For most adults, yes, sleeping 14 hours per night for any age is too much. Yet, there are a small group of individuals that are physiological long sleepers in that he or she require greater than 8 hours of sleep per night. If 14 hours per night has been the same for many years then don't worry but if it is new then there could be an underlying sleep disorder -- see a sleep specialist.
