Likely transient pbm: You don't mention that your finger is still purple, and if not, you may recover all function.You likely cut off enough of the nourishment to the digital nerve that there will be a delay in recovery that can last days or might be long term. Use as a learning experience.Cut the blood supply to living tissue and you may lose it.
