Not normal: That is not normal, the pain you have is due to infection, possible dry socket, have your dentist examine the extraction site, and prescribe proper meds.

Call: You should be better, not worse. Call your dentist. I have seen this happen when the patient has multiple teeth that could be causing the pain. The patient and the dentist try to determine which tooth is causing the pain and extract it. Either they picked the wrong tooth and/or another tooth was also too far gone to save.
