Need a Consultation: Anemia is common in pregnancy. A full blood count can tell if this is a dilution by plasma (the watery part of blood) or need for iron supplementation. However, low platelets need a full hematological evaluation. Also, conditions of the bone marrow, immune system and in some cases preeclampsia. Consult with a specialist.
