Stiff neck: Continual drafts and cool air blowing on the neck can cause the muscles to stiffen up. Warm applications, rubbing liniment and, if you can take them, nsaids like advil (ibuprofen) can relieve the discomfort. Underlying arthritis of the neck vertebrae may also be present and cause stiffness or pain. An xray would show arthritis.
