Strain: This is most likely a strain or tendonitis. Rest, ice, and do range of motion exercises for the ankle. If it doesn't improve, see a doctor.

Strain more likely: A strain of the achilles or achilles tendonitis would be much more likely in a 17 year old. Blood clots are much less common in your age group and typically produce pain, swelling, redness and increased warmth higher in the calf muscle. The sural nerve also sits right next to the achilles tendon, just on the outside of the tendon and can create inflammation. If worried, see a doc for confirmation.

Sprain/strain likely: Dynamic pain with motion usually correlates with a strain or sprain injury to the structures underlying your point tenderness. In the are you describe are several tendons (peroneals), the posterior ankle ligaments, your achilles tendon. All named structures could cause local pain with motion when subtly or significantly injured. Seek a thorough examination if the pain does not resolve this week.
