Flank pain: You noted blood in urine which is a problem and may be serious. Please follow up with your doctor or urologist about this for diagnosis and possible treatment.

Cramp?: Flank pain in patient's with berger' s disease is worrisome due to risk for kidney infections but since the pain only last 3secs and is relieved by defacating, it might be related to constipation and back up of stool in your bowels. If you take chronic pain meds, you need to address constipation. Discuss with your pcp.
