Yes: Snapping you feel is because of the tendon rubbing against the bone during certain movement.It can be painful. Even if there is no inflammation you can feel the snapping and it can certainly be painful. Some times it is difficult to treat.There are no treatment choices that work in all the patients.Trying different modalities to see which works is your best option.
