Starting generic zoloft (sertraline). worried about side effects-nausea and upset stomach. is it ok to take promethazine for nausea/vomiting and pepto for stomach?

Nausea: Taking zoloft (sertraline) and Promethazine together may increase serotonin levels which can cause heart problems. Try taking Promethazine a half hour before zoloft (sertraline) to ameliorate side effects.

Yes.: Take the zoloft (sertraline) after a meal and the stomach discomfort may not occur. However, if they do, it would be alright to take either Promethazine or peptobismol.
