A member asked:

I had a severe flxr tendon/mdn nerve injury 6 weeks ago - zone iv. 80% rom already with scar looking better however evry morning scar stiffens back up, hurts! when will the scar permanently soften up?

Generally the scar -: Tissue reduces by 6 months time after the injury/surgery. So continue to work on the range of motion exercises, so that the pain decreases and rom increases. Good luck.

Yes: Give it time. Most scars get better and will soften up over the next year or so. Keep up with your physical therapy and doctors orders.
