Inflamed nerves: The areas of pain are supplied by nerves from your neck.. In your age group, degenerative. Joint or disc disease could cause these pains. May need xrays. Many daily stressors can affect the spine, posture, muscle over use, stress, sleeping position.

??: As told by others this could well be a nerve root irritation in the neck but there are certainly other things that can cause such symptoms such as a shoulder problem i would say though that the neck problem is probably the most likely / as to being worse after chiropractic manipulation this can certainly happen unfortunately any and all forms of treatment can be ineffective or make it worse.

Many Possibilities: I would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Also could be a pinched nerve/herniated disc. Either way it might be good to figure it out and get appropriate treatment.
