A member asked:

Is cellular inflammation a real concern in normal healthy individuals with normal cholesterol and weight?

Big picture: I'm a pathologist and lab specialist. Over the past two decades, i've watched the definition of "inflammation" -- the familiar tissue changes in response to injury -- broadened by clinicians to an extent that seems to me both unscientific and meaningless. Being fat, being depressed, and being trim from exercise are now all "inflammation". Don't treat a lab value -- even an "elevated crp".

Inflammation: Inflammation is at the root of many of our illnesses so it is good to keep it low. Natural anti-inflammatories such as curcumin and high quality marine fish oil can help. There are also some chinese formulas available and you can get them through a chinese medicine doc.
