Please explain why does dialysis have to be done three times a week three to four hours?

Excellent question!: Traditional in-center diaysis is done three times a week for about four hours per session. But that's only 12 hours of 'kidney' function per week. Normal kidneys work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Many kidney specialists are looking at your question! you may find that home dialysis offers you the chance to do diaysis for more extended periods of time - and feel better!
