Tooth sensitivity : Is due to the exposure of dentin, the part of the tooth which covers the nerve. The common causes are the result of worn tooth enamel or exposed tooth roots. Other factors, such as a cavity, a cracked or chipped tooth, gum disease or a side effect of a dental procedure. The best way to find out why a teeth are sensitive is to have dental professional examine you and take x-rays.
