A member asked:

What could happen if someone took tamoxifen if they didn't have breast cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctor: Tamoxifen has other indications aside from treatment of breast cancer such as reducing the risk of breast cancer in women who carry high risk for developing breast cancer. It has many side effects that need to be taken into consideration before taking this medicine. It needs to be prescribed by a health care provider who is familiar in its indications and side effects. Do not take it on your own.
