Decay below gum line: See a dentist to evaluate the area. It can then be determined if it is decay or not. If it is decay and it is not too far under the gun line, restorations can still be done.

Gumline decay: Decay below the gumline generally occurs as we get older. Often we are taking medications that can caue dry mouth and the saliva is a great protectant. Usually the diet and dry mouth cause the most decay. You need to angke the brush at a 45 degree angle an dfeel the toothbrush under the tissue and gently do circles. An electric toothbrush is 5 x better then a manual one. Get themf filled asap.
