Get ready for PG: The endometrium and the menstrual cycle both change in preparation of pregnancy. If an embryo does not implant then the process starts over. We do not know all the changes but the endometrium grows thicker after menses from estrogen. Progesterone, after ovulation, stops growth and cause the quality of the endometrium to become receptive to implantation. I hope this info helps.
