Quite a few of them:: Rheumatoid disease; hypothyroidism; diabetes m, vit lack, like b6; in pregnancy due to fluid retention, which improves after delivery; rarer causes like a tumor (or swelling) in the carpal tunnel, arising from the nerve itself, tendons, fat, blood vessels, more than the usual number of tendons, or a bony lesion, including healing bone (of a fx). See your orthopod and pcp to be properly diagnosed.
