Hepatitis B: If you have a positive hepatitis B surface antigen, then you have active hepatitis B infection. You can see a hepatologist (liver doctor) to check some other labs in order to determine if you need to be on treatment with oral medications or if a liver biopsy should be considered based on other laboratory results. Having hepatitis B can be controlled with medications.
