Active Infection: This can be yes. It may represent acute infection while clearing is occurring but it may also represent chronic carrier/ chronic active. Several medications (hiv meds) have been shown to be active. It's important to get a hep b viral load by pcr to quantitate. Make sure your doctor had adequate experience treating this. It can be difficult to treat.
