Hmmmm . . . : This may be authentic, or may lead one astray -- depending on how the memory resurfaced. I've known people whose repressed memories returned on their own, without hypnosis or other therapeutic maneuvers.These are less likely to be under duress, and may arise when the time is right to deal with them naturally. Life events may stimulate this. Hypnosis may result in "retrieving" false memories.
