Please explain what happens if you take hydrochlorothiazide?

Hydrochlorothiazide: Is a diuretic, taking it will increase sodium excretion and urine volume. This results in increased urine output, decreased blood pressure and can also result in wash out of other electrolyte besides sodium. The extent of effect varies between patients.
