Forgive my frankness: If you get a wound -- even a fairly trivial one -- that gets contaminated with tetanus, your muscles will go into cramps so severe that eventually you can't breathe and you'll either have to be a ventilator or you'll die. Before immunization, this was commonplace. Don't be a sucker. Do what you need to do.
