Calcium: Just like you can get calcium deposits in blood vessels the same thing can happen in prostate...Not a big issue but sometimes seen in prostatitis pts.

Here are some ...: Calcification in prostate has been commonly seen on prostate US exam, which is formed by depositing calcium on the proteineous core - corpora amylacea (essential amyloids) of prostate glands along the demarcation between central and peripheral zones of the prostate & found most times incidentally, but its significance, especially with prostatitis, has remained nonspecific & unclear. .
