Mostly benign: So called incidental finding in most cases & due to small concretions (collections) of calcium in calcified blood vessls. However, large ones can also be due to prostate stones & found in some males with neurogenic bladders & if infected will cause recurrent UTIs. These can not be eradicated until stones are removed usually by trans urethral resection of portion of prostate containing stones.
