please tell me what can you take for dry cough besides halls while at work that won't make you sleepy or drowsy?

Cough: Unfortunately most (prescribed by physicians) cough suppressants have sedative effects. The 'Dayquil and Nightquil' popular OTC brands have enough alcohol, a bad idea. Try some cardamom seeds (slowly suck for 3 - 10 minutes). Also make sure the person is not on medications hat can induce cough (ACE inhibitors). If still not better see physician to exclude also asthma.
