How to treat diplopia associated with brain injury?

Depends: Diplopia (seeing double) can be caused by damage to one of the nerves moving the eyes (cranial 3, 4 or 6) which can be improved after 6 months time to heal by surgery. Or it can be due to destabilization of the coordination center in the brain stem which can usually be improved with prism glasses. This should be evaluated by a neuro-ophthalmologist.
